How to reach Singhik Bungalow, North Sikkim

Singhik is around 56 kms from Gangtok and 144 kms from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (the nearest rail head). There are no direct shared car or bus services to Singhik from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, so guests need to book full reserved cars if they are planning to reach Singhik the same day. However, there are regular shared car services to Mangan from Gangtok and Singhik is only 04 kms from Mangan. Local cars are available from Mangan to Singhik.

Attractions around Singhik Bungalow, North Sikkim

A few days in Singhik would yield a lot of treasures. The Singhik Monastery and traditional Lepcha house are few things you would love to see in Singhik. One of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim – the Phodong Monastery is just 30 kms from Singhik, the Seven Sister Waterfalls and Naga Waterfalls are also within an hours drive. The historic village of Kabi, where the Lepchas signed the Treaty of Blood Brotherhood during 14th century is just 40 kms from Singhik and can be covered in a day trip too. Two of the most beautiful villages – Dzongu and Tingchim is well within 15 kms of Singhik. Tinchim is known for its emerald sacred lake within the forest and the century old monastery while Dzongu on the other hand is a traditional village area of the Lepchas. Fascinating village life, short treks and bird watching are few things you can enjoy in Dzongu and surrounding areas of Singhik.
